
Environment Canada has issued a tornado warning for part of New Brunswick on Saturday,
Residents in the Miramichi area are being advised atmospheric conditions could lead to severe thunderstorms producing tornadoes:
Officials add strong winds, large hail, and heavy rain are also possible for the areas.
Residents are reminded to be prepared for severe weather and to take cover immediately if any threatening weather rolls in.
“This is a dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation,” the alert said.
“Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches. If you hear a roaring sound or see a funnel cloud, swirling debris near the ground, flying debris, or any threatening weather approaching, take shelter immediately.”
