New exhibit lets visitors walk the history of slavery in Canada

A new exhibit at the Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 opens Aug. 1, 2024, that explores Canada’s connection to slavery and the role it played in the settlement of this country. Its artifacts and biographies condense 200 years of a terrible legacy that can still be felt today. The CBC’s Alex Guye sits down with curator Afua Cooper.
