An Air Canada flight from Halifax to London, England, had to turn around roughly 30 minutes after it departed Sunday afternoon due to a bird strike.
An official with the Halifax airport said AC868 departed around 12:08 p.m. AT, which was later than scheduled. The spokesperson said the plane landed safely around 12:40 p.m.
In a statement, Air Canada said the 156 customers on board are being rebooked to their final destinations.
The airline said the plane, a Boeing 737, is being inspected by maintenance crews.
