Nova Scotia RCMP are advising parents and guardians to speak to their children about online predators after a child-luring investigation involving a Truro-area man.
Brandin James Arsenault, 28, of Truro Heights has been charged with luring a child and making sexually explicit material available to a child.
Arsenault allegedly communicated online with a youth for a sexual purpose, sent gifts and attempted to meet the young person at a Halifax hotel, said RCMP in a news release Monday.
Arsenault was arrested May 7 after an investigation that began last November. His home was searched and electronic material was seized.
RCMP allege the accused may have communicated with other youth based on evidence gathered so far.
Arsenault has been released on conditions. He’s due in provincial court in Truro in August.
