One man has died and two others were taken into custody after a stabbing Wednesday in Sydney, N.S.
Cape Breton Regional Police said in a news release the victim was found with life-threatening injuries at around 11:30 a.m. on Frederick Street in Whitney Pier, a neighbourhood on the outskirts of Sydney near the municipal landfill site.
The victim died shortly after being taken to the hospital.
Police followed a suspect vehicle on the road to New Waterford, but abandoned the chase in the interest of public safety.
Around 1 p.m., RCMP found the vehicle in the Cape Breton community of Orangedale, about 100 kilometres away, where two men were arrested.
Police did not release any other details Wednesday afternoon and said the incident remains under investigation.
